High Holidays 2024

We are pleased to present our 2024 Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services in person to our members, their families and guests. We will also be livestreaming the services to members and non-members who wish to join us virtually. As always, our services are free of charge.

CHJ celebrates Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with contemplative services incorporating music, readings, and rituals that strike a balance between our connections to the broad stream of Judaism and our secular humanistic view of Jewish culture and customs. Our services invite us to reflect on our values and commitments, both as individuals and as a  community.

In addition to our services, we invite our members to join us on the first day of Rosh Hashanah for a Tashlich ceremony, in which we symbolically cast away our sins.

On Yom Kippur Day, we offer a Members’ Workshop and a Members’ Meditation, both to be held on Zoom.

Members should refer to the CHJ newsletter for the locations of the various services and events. Doors open 30 minutes before services begin. The livestream services will commence at the times listed above. Members will automatically receive the livestream link via the listserve.

Non-members who wish to view our services virtually are asked to please register in advance in order to get the livestream link. Registration is at the bottom of this page.

People viewing the livestream will be able to follow along with the services by viewing or downloading our printed booklet available here.
